‘Damnable Deeds’ Beneath the Dome

(Conclusion)
Can you imagine it?

A provincial politician who’s unable to distinguish between the public interest and his own, who mixes legislative business with his legal practice, who changes his mind as often as his socks, who has a volatile temper,  and—horrors—sometimes conducts both while “the worse for liquor”.

Of course not, not here in prim and proper BC.

Just ask any politician and he’ll assure you that only honesty and dedication to the peoples’ interests are permitted in the hallowed chambers of the Victoria legislative buildings.

The historical record, alas, tells us otherwise, as you’ll see in the conclusion to ‘Damnable Deeds’ Beneath the Dome in next week’s B.C. Chronicles.
